Listening devices causing hearing loss in young children? If you’re like any parent at some point you have let your child use a listening device with headphones to listen to music, watch a video, or play on your phone.  However, the volume may have not been regulated while the child listens to their favorite show or music.  Research was recently conducted on children who listen to devices compared to children who do not use devices.  The children who listened to iphones, ipads, or music were twice as likely to have hearing loss.    Listening to sounds at high volumes can affect children even at a young age.  It is our job to make sure that our child is not doing damage to their hearing.  Happy Hearing!
